On the 19th (local time), the foreign media outlet “The Sun” reported that although boy group Blitzers delivered an outstanding performance on “Britain’s Got Talent,” they were met with negative public opinion in the UK.

Previously on May 18, Blitzers reinterpreted Shawn Mendes’ song “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” on the UK ITV show “Britain’s Got Talent,” adding a rap segment that was not in the original, which drew attention. The judges gave a standing ovation, expressing their admiration for Blitzers’ performance.

The members showcased their stable live singing skills and spectacular performance, advancing to the semifinals.

Contrary to the applause Blitzers received at the venue, several critical opinions were posted on social media.

Netizens expressed, “‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is a program for discovering talented people in the UK. I don’t understand why the foreign group Blitzers appeared,” “Blitzers debuted three years ago and are already a famous group. This does not align with the show’s intent,” and “I don’t understand why ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ cast Blitzers.”

It is known that Blitzers appeared on the show at the invitation of the “Britain’s Got Talent” team.

On the other hand, “Britain’s Got Talent” is a popular UK program that has been airing since 2007 with the aim of discovering talented individuals across the UK. In 2019, BTS also appeared on the show for a celebratory performance.
